Like its owners the barn is very special, it greets you with a big warm welcoming hug and reassuring sense of familiarity. It’s quirky cool and full of character and charm with views that will blow you away. I can’t imagine wanting to spend my big day anywhere else.

Superbly unique…an absolute gem nestled amongst the Devonshire countryside!

Windout is just the most spectacular venue for hosting such a wide variety of special occasions. Having help both day and evening events there, with all guests being simply blown away with such a picturesque surrounding, we can’t thanks Sam, Felicity and the family enough for being the most accommodating and friendly hosts.

Windout barns rustic quirky charm bowls you over with such a positive energy you can’t help but imagine the decades of characters that have experienced the earthiness. The barn is arresting in its loveliness and is as delightful as its owners, Flic and Sam are beautiful people and their local knowledge and creativity was a great help in our party planning. The barn was an amazing party venue, and a great space for DJs and dancing. We could not recommend it more highly.

What a truly incredible spot for our wedding. We fell in love with the farm as soon as we saw it, and it was such an honour to invite our closest friends and family there to share in the magic of Windout Farm. The rolling hills and beautiful barn were the perfect backdrop for our rustic wedding and countless friends have commented since on the breathtaking setting for our reception. Sam, Flic, David and Susie couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating in the run-up, graciously finding solutions to bring our farm wedding vision to a reality beyond any of our wildest dreams. We could not recommend Windout any more- it really was the perfect spot to start our new life together!

Our wedding day at Windout Farm was absolutley magical and exceeded all our expectations. The incredible views across the Devonshire valley, the Rustin barn with its handmade bar, the organic farmyard setting and the inquisitive resident geese came together wonderfully to make it, amongst our friends, the most talked about wedding of the year! The Ursell could not have done more to make us, our family and friends feel so welcome. Both during the build up and on the day itself, they did everything possible to facilitate our wishes and seemed to really understand the vision we had for our day. Windout farm really is the most breathtaking setting for a wedding and we feel so lucky to have been able to enjoy our wedding day there.

There a few moments in life where location and occasion are held together to create a moment you can characterise as, truly special. Debs and I were married at windout farm on the top lawn as the hills tumbled towards the horizon behind us and the swallows ducked and dived over our heads. Even the most skeptical amongst us wondered if they had in fact received a touch from the Divine. Charm pervades everything the farm has to offer. Sam and Flic are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met and the welcome they extended has left lasting memories from the day!

Windout Barn was the most stunningly beautiful place for our wedding reception. The setting is a rural dream - and Sam and Flic were such kind hosts, making Felix and I feel so at home. All our guests loved coming to the farm: sipping drinks with incredible views, saying hello to the sheep and having a party in the exquisite barn which our friends helped us fill with flowers. It’s a privilege to have celebrated our marriage in such a heavenly, ancient space, tucked amongst the rolling hills of the Teign Valley. I wouldn’t have wanted to have it anywhere else. If you want somewhere unforgettable for your day, it’s perfect.

Above and beyond Windout Barn is a truly superb venue for a wedding. The barn itself is stunning, with exposed beams and a rustic charm. The surrounding countryside is also breathtaking, with rolling hills and stunning views. Sam and Flic are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they will go above and beyond to make sure your wedding day is perfect. They helped us host our wedding in the depths of COVID, and we couldn't have asked for more. Our experience also included one guest being saved from his car in a flooded river, Sam obligingly towing car with his Pioneer. Above and beyond. Your marriage couldn't start in a better place.
